A medida que el otoño se extiende a lo largo del camino, la presencia de peregrinos comienza a desvanecerse como los colores en el paisaje. Los números que llegan a Santiago de Compostela caen dramáticamente en noviembre. Pero todavía hay mucha vida en las aldeas, pueblos y ciudades que marcan el camino. El magosto es una celebración típica en muchos lugares del norte de España, por lo que es muy probable que descubras una si el otoño te encuentra caminando por la ruta. Se celebra cerca del Día de Todos los Difuntos (principios de noviembre) en la mayoría de los lugares. El origen del festival es la celebración de la cosecha y la castaña es la estrella, junto con los nuevos vinos y carnes curadas como el chorizo. Los rituales pueden incluir ennegrecer la cara con hollín, saltar las hogueras para asegurar la buena suerte, jugar juegos tradicionales, contar historias y cantar canciones populares. Here are six new establishments looking to give you comfort at the end of a long day’s walk. In Villares de Órbigo, a new albergue has received many positive reviews.
