A short detour off the Camino near O Porriño leads to Casa Alternativo, where Dries — himself a veteran of many caminos — and his dog Otto welcome just nine pilgrims a night. Handmade furniture, a swimming pool, hammocks on the terrace, and an organic dinner shared around the table: this is the Camino’s hospitality at its most personal.
